Since living in Salt Lake City I have become fascinated with the stretch of desert defined by Antelope and Stansbury Islands on the east and the Silver Island Mountains on the west. It’s a landscape absolutely shaped by water, and by salt. It’s a place of subtle beauty that can be easy to overlook. It’s also an area where space, time, and light have unusual character. Capturing the drama, the stark beauty, and the recent history of this region is an ongoing project.
